The studio
Casa Vera has been two architects and a workshop since 2011. We take six or seven commissions a year, which is roughly what it costs to have the people who drew a thing also standing in the mud while it gets built.
Every job opens with a week of looking — the plot, the light at four in the afternoon, the neighbours, what a family actually does on a Tuesday. The drawing comes after that, and it is usually smaller than the one the client arrived with.
