Sky Airlines

Sky Airlines is a large-scale Chilean airline booking platform built from the ground up with a micro-frontend architecture. The platform handles real-time flight search, seat selection, and booking flows integrated with the Sabre GDS system.

As Tech Lead, I was responsible for defining the overall architecture and coordinating the frontend team — with a particular focus on the flight search and seat selection flows, which are the most performance-sensitive and user-critical parts of the experience. My work spanned three independent micro-apps orchestrated via Single-SPA, each communicating with dedicated NestJS microservices through a combination of REST API and RabbitMQ messaging strategies.

Docker was used to orchestrate the microservices, while Storybook centralizes the frontend components shared across the entire Sky Airlines ecosystem.
